I don't know how I missed your blog before. I'm not a big fan of digital painting, but you are such a penultimate designer and artist your winning me over. The drawing design and color are top notch. Good conceptual art is not my strong point so when I see it this well done I'm humbled to the ground. Do you ever go outside and paint with oil? It's taken over my life.
Hello Bill, I'm not really a big fan either. But that may be because of what people are coming up with rather than the medium itself. What I like in photoshop are the 'graphic' qualities. It reminds me of screenprinting and lithography. I posted a couple of 'real paintings' back on the 11th. of April - in response to your request at Gibbon (re. Albert Brenet) -these were imaginary scenes.
It's the artist who transcends the media. And like Bush is the "Decider" you are the "Transender." I sometimes like the photo feel mixed with the graphic quality. It might be the only way clients will accept graphic work these days. Again you do it well, but I like the hand done stuff, in the end it has more of a personal identity. I'd love , love, love to see more of that old hand done stuff by you, maybe a nice selection of greatist hits?
