This is my favorite of the Jazz on T.V....I enjoy the contrast and the rectangular shapes that give it sort of a television pixelation. Great stuff as always!!
Jared, I guess the pixilation effect is the because I used a 'square' brush in Photoshop. This is really an 'end-of the-day' doodle. It's a sort of watercolour painted digitally. It is not a copy of any particular photograph but it is the result of looking at old, damaged photos of musicians which were probably not very good photographs in the first place. Instead of correcting the faults, scratches, over exposed and under exposed parts of the images I have used them to create an impression of a time when musicians, who probably had trouble paying the rent, showed up to play in collars and ties. It's the feeling of jazz: the way it looked... to me.
Andrei, I am no star but - as we know - the light of the stars shines to us from long ago.
