Some of the tales we've heard before. Kermode should have deflected him from going over these again... Instead he encouraged him. Great evening though. Always great to see your heroes in the flesh.
That came up again. Although it did lead Papa Werner to talk some about how he attracts nutty people with murder in mind. It seems they've coming jumping through his bathroom window swearing to avenge those that have suffered at his hands. He accepts it as his fate. I hope he makes a film about it someday.
Well I guess we'll see the results somewhere around. You'll probably know before I do.
His claim not to have heard of Anthony Minghella is quite plausible to me. On Monday he said he'd never heard of Abel Ferrara until he kicked up a stink about Herzog using his title 'BAD LIEUTENANT". I believe that too.. I'm like that.

Wish i could've been there. Was it a Guardian lecture? Transcript should turn up online if so.
Yup, Mark Kermode in the chair.

it would be Kermode, although last time he interviewed him Herzog got shot!
