The background painting I did in Acrylics some years ago while working on a trasho 'Egyptian' project that never called for such moods... And anyway movies aren't made this shape. I was able to finish it only today by adding the bunny in the Amarna hat on the lookout for a place to practice his alto sax. (I was listening to some of the heartbreakers: Sonny Criss, Joe Harriot, Charles McPherson.)
Your remark hits on exactly what I try for in all my pictures... You have to want to be there. It only works when there is a lot implied but not overtly stated. If you offer a puzzle, the viewer is engaged.
