Neil, Are you producing 'one sheets' for the various 'Ferias' and 'Corridas' of France and Navarre yet? If not you should apply, for your stuff is a damn sight better than what usually passes for posters in that field. Cheers.
Luc, what is a 'one sheet'? Much art about the corrida is bad. The ferias in Arles and Nimes are normally accompanied by exhibitions of artworks so awful as to merit an EU ban. The posters are, as you say, not much good either. And, in all modesty I should add that I've done some crappy stuff myself. I don't know that the publicity folks at the ferias are aware, or much care, that the publicity is ugly. Some would say that the bull games deserve no better. I persevere...
Dear Limbolo, The term 'one sheet' refers to the small posters from 28'' wide by 40'' tall and up to bus stop size. Unlike their much larger billboard cousins who are printed in several pieces of paper, these little ones are printed on one sheet... Hence the name. From your reaction I suspect it might be an americanism or a trade idiosyncracy. By the way, I never thought I would ever find myself explaining a word to you, of all people, to whom I owe most of what little english I have. As for the corrida posters... I doubt if the bulls care much, one way or the other.

"Incidentally, Oscar, I am about to blog yet another bull picture... Is there noone to quarrel with me about this? "
It's rubbish.
Why do you bother?
Wonky castles please.
Raz...
Pasiphae, "lady of all lights", mother of Asterion...
thank you, Dodos.
.... Didn't know the name meant that.
By the way did you ever read PETER HUBY's "PASIPHAE". (Very good novel on the Daedalus/Minos myths.)
How do you pronounce 'Pasiphae'?
No, i'm afraid i don't know the book.
I wish i could find the phonetic alphabet in my keyboard to answer your second question... :-(
