great mood and implied detail

Everything here is always so well designed and considered, but effortless looking, its breathtaking, but these noir sketches are especially lovely; I'm obviously not the only one who thinks so.

Is he gonna jump? Is there not enough Rose in the fridge? Or maybe the man is just checking out the stairs to give an accurate account to his insurance company?
What a great image!!! Sorry for having mere pedestrian thoughts.

The guy who has just been shot - that's him at lower right (I realise it's not very clear) - is the first victim of the doublecross. The shooter will get his later when he gets double-doublecrossed by the dame.
And yes, you're right, Uli: it's an insurance scam.
I hope everyone has seen Oscar's brilliant noir drawings over at GRILLOMATION which kicked these off, after a little badinage with El O and his alto sax-playing grand panjandrum, Ruben Gonzalez - El Chivo.
I'm glad people like them. I don't normally like to post things in black and white... It feels like cheating.

Black and white is cheating?
Explain thyself sir!

Great !
(say, did you consider doing this for a living?)

limbolo said...

Elliot, just kidding...

Marcos,
You're kidding too, I know.
Somehow, I go on doing this for a living. But at times, I wonder how.

Oscar Grillo said...

Looking good, Limbolo. Really good. Stay well and keep warm.

Marcos Mateu said...

I was kidding.
By the way I didn't mention but I also love this musician series you are doing!
