Good evening and thank you, ladies and gentlemen,

Alina, this was your chance to say coool.

Delu, T-Bone was a modernist. I wanted to emphasize the abstract pattern in his blues.

Dodos, thanks for passing through. Your blog is a must. Less is more, as we like to say, but rarely do. You may be getting older, but you clearly know what happens.

Rio, abrace de Londres.

Very inspiring indeed! I dont think I ever saw such interesting use of shapes and that abstract thing underneath makes it even more exciting. Your blog is a magnet!

Btw. Are you actually a musician? Just curious...

limbolo said...

Jenya, thank you for your enthusiasm.

I am working on further images for the 'Alice' series.

No, I am not a musician. But I love music.

I do really like this dear Limbolo. Have you ever been to the "Ronnie Scott" late at night for inspiration?

Oscar Grillo said...

Limbó...Did you catch "Helzapoppin'" in FilmFour?.. Has a terrific number with Slim and Slam and several top notch musicians (Rex Stewart, Etc.) and also some wonderful "Lindy Hoppers"...We'll worth to see for it alone.

limbolo said...

Haven't been to Scott's since I saw Elvin Jones, Stef. There is a lot of contemporary jazz that I like, but I'm not sure that I would find what T-Bone was giving out. The art of performance has changed.

Unfortunately I missed Hellzapoppin, Oscar. Apart from the hellish news from the Middle East, the only TV I've seen lately have been interesting documentaries on 4, about Australians and what creeps they used to think the Poms were...But now they're over it.

Elliot Cowan said...

No we're not.

limbolo said...

Ah, the man from Oz,
Many of the persons featured in said docs were comfortable old worthies like Clive James and Germaine Greer who have become household names among the poms so perhaps they've had reason to mellow down a bit.

don't know why i'm just getting around to commenting on your blog...fantastic work as usual

Elliot Cowan said...

Damn that Clive James.

In one of his autobiographies he talks about masturbating with one of his pals.
It caused quite a ruckus in the classroom when we read it in 10th grade.

limbolo said...

Was this a mutual wank or a competitive one?

Oscar Grillo said...

Yes...I always thought that C. J. was a wanker.

Elliot Cowan said...

I believe it was a co-operative situation rather than a point scoring thing.

limbolo said...

Who was the co-wanker from long ago and is he now a well known figure in the land of Oz?

Elliot Cowan said...

It was one of his school chums I am fairly sure.
I think he went on to become Prime Minister.

limbolo said...

I knew there had to be a reason he spoke so fondly of former PM's.
But seriously, It's good when guys can pull together and help each other out.

Elliot Cowan said...

Help carry the load.

We got them old mixed metaphor blues...
